We've almost reached this year's NFL trade deadline, with phones falling silent at 3 p.m. CT on Tuesday, Nov. 10. While the New Orleans Saints aren't positioned to be buyers at the deadline (thanks to their 2-5 record, going into Sunday's home game with the Cleveland Browns) that doesn't mean they won't be busy. Playoff teams have been calling about numerous veteran players who could give them a boost. We saw New Orleans make some moves at last year's deadline to add much-needed draft picks in exchange for players like wide receiver Rashid Shaheed and offensive lineman Trevor Penning.
Check this space often for instant analysis on the latest Saints news, reports, and trade rumors as that deadline gets closer. We'll be parsing through the noise
to get an idea of which players may be on the move and what New Orleans could get back.
Here's a refresher on which picks the Saints are working with in upcoming draft classes:
Saints' picks in the 2027 NFL Draft
- Round 1
- Round 2
- Round 3
- Round 4
- Round 5
- Round 6 (via Los Angeles Chargers)
The Saints control their own picks in the first five rounds of the 2028 draft while owning the Houston Texans' sixth rounder and two seventh rounders (from the Dallas Cowboys and New England Patriots). They have not traded any picks in the 2029 or 2030 drafts yet.
