The partnership between WWE and Netflix is bringing us a Stranger Things “takeover”* of Raw for the first Monday night of 2026. What else will it bring us in the new year?
We might find out a couple days after WWE Raw – Stranger Things Night. The streamer also released a teaaser for news about their upcoming line-up that tells us our “Future is on the way”.
Whatever Netflix tells us about on Jan. 7, the inclusion of Bianca Belair and Liv Morgan at the 24 second mark of the Teyana Taylor-narrated clip
piqued our interest. The One Battle After Another star narrates a young woman’s daily bus ride as she imagines that people and things see sees are from Netflix programs. It ends as she visits a fortune teller played by Taylor who promises to tell us “What’s next” as the screen cuts to a “Jan. 2026”.
No specific promise of new WWE content, although we do now know the new season of Unreal drops on Jan. 20. Neither Belair nor Morgan was listed among the “featured stars” of the behind-the-scenes show’s second season, but as both are former champions who‘ve dealt with injuries since season one wrapped up its storylines at WrestleMania 41, it would make sense to cover them on Unreal at some point.
Especially since we don’t know when they’ll get to tell Belair’s story on Raw or SmackDown again. Morgan recently returned, but The EST has been out for eight months and counting with complications from a broken hand.
Here’s hoping this brief bus hallucination is a small sign she’ll be back soon. We’ll let you know if we hear anything else, and what new WWE Netflix content we find out about on Jan. 7.
* This is how it was referred to in an email we received about it from Netflix PR, which could mean anything from Stranger Things-branding all over Brooklyn’s Barclays Center on Jan. 5, to Hopper and Joyce live-tweeting the show.
