opening odds with FanDuel Sportsbook has the Bills as 7-point (-7/-112) over the Chargers (+7/-108). As of publishing, the moneyline sat at -370 for Buffalo and +295 for Los Angeles, with the over/under at U50.5/-115 (Bills) / O50.5/-105 (Chargers).
This will be the Bills’ second of a three-game home stand at their new stadium, which features an even louder Bills Mafia than ever before. It’s going to be tough sledding for Los Angeles, which must also adapt to jet lag and a 1 p.m. EDT start. However, an 0-2 team is among the most dangerous early season opponents and the NFL is famously a week-to-week league.
The last time these teams met, the game was played in SoFi Stadium for a primetime Peacock-exclusive matchup on December 23, 2023. Buffalo won a tough-fought game, 24-22, with Josh Allen completing 15-of-21 passes for 237 yards with a touchdown and interception; adding five rushes for 15 yards and two more ground scores. Buffalo is managing injuries to two key players this week. Wide receiver DJ Moore suffered an AC joint sprain in his shoulder, while defensive tackle Ed Oliver is dealing with a hip injury. The status for both players remains up in the air as of publishing. Additionally, there are existing injuries to continue monitoring for defensive tackle T.J. Sanders and running back Ty Johnson.
Key injuries to monitor for Los Angeles are safety Derwin James (broken thumb, to be fitted w/cast), tight end David Njoku (knee), defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson (hamstring), offensive guard Kayode Awosika (leg), and tight end Charlie Kolar (forearm).
