What is the story about?
Welcome to BTSC’s Friday night open thread:
Before any history buffs hit me with an “Um, actually…” I just want to get out in front and say I’m aware the “Ides of March” is technically meant to be the time around March 15. Julius Caesar, ever heard of him? But beyond that, the phrase “Beware the Ides of March,” is a warning to be cautious of impending danger. I can think of no point on the NFL calendar where that applies more than on the cusp of Free Agency, which officially starts this coming Wednesday,
with the “legal tampering” period taking effect on Monday. So without further ado…
- What position are you most hoping to see the Steelers address in Free Agency this year? Who would you like to see them sign?
- Who is your favorite outside signing in Steelers history? I imagine James Farrior and Ryan Clark will be popular selections, but who is your favorite?
- Is there a position you’d rather the Steelers avoid in free agency and address through the draft?
- Free agency can often mean a big raise for players. When was the last time you got a big raise/promotion, or changed jobs and got a bump in pay in the process?
- Song of the Week: “I Got Money Now” ft. JID – Deante Hitchcock
A bit on the nose, but this is a fun, bouncy song featuring one of my favorite rappers (JID).
Have a good weekend y’all!
