The Denver Nuggets have signed fourth-year wing Cam Whitmore to a two-way contract,ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Friday.

The Denver Nuggets are signing 2023 first-round pick Cam Whitmore on a two-way NBA deal, sources tell ESPN. Whitmore enters his fourth NBA season after averaging 10.5 points and 3.3 rebounds over 119 career games — and has already joined the Nuggets for workouts in Denver.

Whitmore, once a highly-touted NBA prospect and the No. 20 pick in the 2023 draft, finds himself on his fourth

team as he prepares to enter his fourth season (Houston, Wizards, Cavaliers, Nuggets). After suffering from deep vein thrombosis during the 2025-2026 NBA season while playing for the Washington Wizards, he was sidelined indefinitely. In an interview with Monumental Sports Network from May, Whitmore said he had fully recovered from the health issue.

The Wizards traded Whitmore to the Cleveland Cavaliers in August as part of the four-team deal that also landed Peyton Watson in Cleveland. The Cavaliers promptly waived Whitmore, opening up his path to Denver.

For his career, Whitmore has posted averages of 10.5 points, 3.3 rebounds. and 0.8 assists in 17.8 minutes per game. However, numerous injuries have limited him to playing just 119 games over three seasons.
