Bayern Munich’s players are reconvening for the return of the Bundesliga, beginning with a visit to Augsburg. Hennes Behrens, who debuted for Germany last week, will be tasked with defending against Michael Olise and promised he will not roll over for him.
“I’ll try to make it very difficult for him and be a real nuisance,” Behrens said (via Bild as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia). “You have to be careful with him because he’s good one-on-one and has a good shot. But you certainly can’t do it alone.
We all have to defend well as a team and help each other.”
Olise has four goals and two assists over the international break for France in games against Türkiye, away to Belgium, Italy, and at home to Belgium. The mercurial Frenchman hasn’t taken the international break lightly and showed once more why he’s one of the best players in the world.
