For the first time since the 2018 season, the UConn Huskies men’s soccer team is heading to the NCAA Men’s Soccer Tournament. The Huskies earned a first round bye after being named the 13th overall seed.
They will take on the winner of the first round matchup between Cornell and Lafayette at Morrone Stadium on Sunday, November 23. The game will be at 2 p.m. and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
UConn reached the Big East Men’s Soccer Championship finals this past Sunday, where they fell to top-seeded Georgetown, 3–1, finishing the season with an 11-4-4 record. Their No. 15 RPI ranking helped secure their place in this year’s NCAA Tournament and earn the 13th seed.
Five Big East teams made the tournament as well including UConn. They are No. 7 seed Georgetown, No. 14 seed Akron, St. John’s and Seton Hall.
