Earlier this week, we published our latest SB Nation Reacts survey, sponsored by the folks at FanDuel Sportsbook, and asked Detroit Lions fans two questions:
- Will the Lions beat the Cardinals in Week 5? (weekly question)
- Are you confident the Lions are headed in the right direction? (recurring poll)
After the Week 2 loss to the Bills, confidence that the Lions were headed in the right direction reached an all-time low, dropping below 50% for the first time in the Dan Campbell era. This week’s survey netted even more disastrous results: not only did the confidence poll results absolutely fall off a cliff, but the majority of fans don’t even think
the Lions will beat the Cardinals this week, despite being 5.5-point favorites.
Let’s take a look at the results of this week’s polls:

Normally, I would use this section of the results piece to highlight thecomment section of our original article and The Feed post to see fans’ explanations for why they voted the way they did. However, this week the comments were full of complaints—warranted or not—due to an overflow of understandable frustration. I completely empathize with fans’ need for an outlet, and venting online certainly can accomplish that. For those still in search of an outlet, the comment section in this piece is open for discussion.
As a reminder, this survey was sponsored by the folks over at FanDuel Sportsbook, which currently has the Lions listed at +2500 to win this year’s Super Bowl and as 5.5-point favorites in Week 5.
Throughout the year, we ask questions of the most plugged-in Detroit Lions fans and fans across the country. If you want to receive these surveys by email weekly, you can sign up here.
