Aggies top Aztecs in thrilling comeback.
This game lived up to the hype. Utah State battled back from 11 and 7 points deficits to beat San Diego State by five in a close game. They were led by Karson Templin and MJ Collins, who scored 18 and 12 points, respectively. The Aztecs
actually held advantages in three-point shooting and free-throw percentage in the game, but the Aggies were able to hold the edges in rebounds and points in the paint. With the win, both teams are now tied at the top of the conference standings.

Utah State launches ‘Show Me’ Initiative.
Utah State’s athletic department is the latest mid-major program to launch a fundraising initiative. Aspiring for more than only fundraising, the Show Me campaign looks to also set goals for the number of season ticket holders as well as the number of sponsorships they are able to secure. The department has set benchmarks for 6 and 18 months. It will be interesting to see how Utah State and other mid-majors are able to raise money and attempt to stay competitive.
Sawvel happy with roster retention.
It’s tough for the Group of 6 teams to hold onto their key players after every season. That being said, Wyoming head coach Jay Sawvel thought they retained their roster pretty well when the transfer portal was open. He identified 13 players from 2025 as vital and was able to keep 9 of them, which is a pretty good percentage all things considered. Adding in new transfers and high school recruits will allow the Cowboys to build some momentum.
