Well, I originally planned on writing how the No. 18 Michigan Wolverines are getting ready to take on the No. 13 Texas Longhorns in the Cheez-it Citrus Bowl. They wrapped up the regular season 9-3 overall,
but ended with a bad taste in their mouth given the loss to Ohio State. Now the taste seems even worse, given Michigan’s firing of Sherrone Moore on Wednesday. It’s not great life advice, but maybe this story can be more of a distraction from scrolling social media and looking for the latest update on Michigan’s new coach.
Quarterback Bryce Underwood had us all believing after his start against Central Michigan, wide receiver Andrew Marsh might be one of the next greats to come through the program. and linebacker Cole Sullivan took a huge step forward as well.
Here are just a few top plays from Michigan’s 2025 season.
QB Bryce Underwood scrambles and manages a touchdown against Central Michigan
This one play highlighted Underwood’s athleticism. I know at the end of the season we were all wondering when we thought these plays would be possible against some elite opponents, but nonetheless, this was a pretty cool moment early in the season.
Edge Derrick Moore sacks MSU QB Aidan Chiles
Michigan edge rusher Derrick Moore had a big game against Michigan State back in October. As one of the defensive players with a lot of hype this year, it was nice to see him having an impact on the field.
Underwood finds Marsh for a TD against Maryland
There were a lot of connections between Underwood and Marsh this season, but this was one of my favorites. I loved seeing Marsh’s effort in the end zone combined with the pure talent it took to make this possible.
Sullivan has a huge interception against Washington
Sullivan showed a ton of improvement this season and gave us a lot to get excited about moving forward. This interception was one of several during the 2025 season I’m sure we’ve all watched on repeat already.
RB Justice Haynes takes it to the house against Oklahoma
It would have been something to have a healthy Justice Haynes throughout the entire 2025 season. His ability to make explosive plays is off the charts. This was one of those big-time runs against a great defense.
DB Rod Moore intercepts a pass during Wisconsin game
Who isn’t a Rod Moore fan? He’s been a key player on Michigan’s defense for years and when he went down with an injury in 2024, we knew the Wolverines were going to take a hit. He came back on the field briefly in 2025, and it was nice to see him get an interception.
RB Jordan Marshall’s touchdown run against Purdue
When Haynes went down with an injury, many wondered how Jordan Marshall was going to step up. He certainly showed he had what it takes to be a starter when he managed this long touchdown run.
