Barcelona boss Hansi Flick had some strong words for Fermin Lopez after the youngster showed his frustrations at being substituted in the second half of Sunday’s win over Rayo Vallecano in La Liga.
Lopez was visibly annoyed at seeing his number come up in the second half of the match at Camp Nou as he was replaced by Dani Olmo.
Flick was asked about the change afterwards and told Lopez he has to accept such decisions.
“At that time we wanted to make changes and he has to accept
it because Olmo is also a fantastic player,” he told reporters.
“Dani Olmo gives us more control and is very good near the box while Fermín gives us a lot of dynamism and energy as he showed today and especially against Newcastle.”
Lopez and Olmo will now head off on international duty with Spain for friendlies against Serbia and Egypt.
