The Steelers had a clean injury report entering Sunday night’s divisional clash with the Ravens. And they might’ve left the physical matchup with some more good news.
Pittsburgh head coach Mike Tomlin always
lists out any injuries of note in his postgame press conference, but after the Ravens game, he just mentioned “some bumps and bruises associated with play” that the team would assess.
It’s a good early sign that the Steelers aren’t expected to be missing any players ahead of their Wild Card round matchup against the Houston Texans, although Tomlin mentioned the Monday night time slot will help with recovery.
“(We) have an additional day; we’re gonna need it,” he told the media.
Veteran defensive tackle Cam Heyward briefly left the game after a collision following a first play, but he returned and was arguably the team’s best defender on the night.
Although not injury-related, the Steelers will be getting a big boost on offense in the playoffs with top wide receiver D.K. Metcalf set to return. He served a two-game suspension after an altercation with a fan in Week 16.
