
It was a big night for Columbus offensively, led by Milan Tolentino, who went 3-4 with a grand slam that came off the bat at 108.5 MPH. Dom Nuñez also hit a big 3 run home run. Kahlil Watson continued his hot streak going 1-2 with a double and two walks. Travis Bazzana went 0-4 with two strikeouts and his average is now down to .182. The oblique is definitely a factor in his AAA performance but it’s still hard not to be disappointed right now. Cooper Ingle went 1-3 with a double and a walk.
Ryan Webb tossed 5.1 innings and allowed just two runs on four strikeouts and two walks. Tommy Mace, Jack Leftwich, and Parker Mushinksi combined for 3.2 scoreless innings of relief.

Ralphy Velazquez continues to prove that he is a special, special hitter. He went 2-4 with a double and he’s hitting .357 with a 1.129 OPS since being promoted to AA. One prospect seemingly flying below the radar is Wuilfredo Antunez, who went 2-5 with a double and is hitting .297 with an .890 OPS in AA. He is someone worth keeping an eye on. Lane Thomas went 0-2 with a strikeout and a walk in his rehab assignment.
Nick Mitchell went 1-5 with two strikeouts, Esteban Gonzalez went 2-5 with a double, Jaison Chourio went 1-5 with two strikeouts, and Jose Devers went 1-3 with a double and a walk.
It was a rough day for the Captains’ pitching staff. Jackson Humphries was only able to record one out and gave up 5 runs with two walks. His ERA on the season is up to 5.07.
The Hillcats may have lost today, but it was a huge game for a couple of their top prospects. Joey Oakie has been absolutely unreal in his last two starts. He pitched four innings and struck out 11 batters and had just one walk. He now has 22 strikeouts combined in his last two starts. His ERA on the season is down to 2.22.
Dauri Fernandez had a big game, he went 3-4 with a double and is now hitting .333 since being promoted to Lynchburg. Juneiker Caceres went 1-3, and Yaikel Mijares went 1-3 with a double.
