Live from Delaware, it’s Saturday Night! I, NAS204PSU, am here at BTSC to bring you this Saturday Night Open Thread (aka SNOT).
2026 training camp is underway and it feels and looks a lot different under Big Mike. The new era continues, and with each noticeable change there is hope for a different result for the 2026 Steelers. Football is shorts is slipping, slipping, slipping into the future of full padded practices. Our Steelers are hard at work. Preseason will be here before you know it!
This 5
pack of questions is here to get the conversation going, and also let us know what you’re eating/drinking!
Some differences in how MMcC runs training vs MT are clear and evident: no live tackling, morning practices, quick transitions to the next drills, focus on fundamentals.
1) What, if anything, will be a sign that these MMcC camp changes bore fruit?
IroncladTheory posted that CBS Sports didn’t rank any Steelers’ player in the top 10 of any positions.
2) Where do you rank CBS Sports in the “top 10 ranking ability” for a sports media outlet?
Piggybacking off FNOT #6: the change to morning camp practices:
3) Do you prefer to work out in the morning, midday, afternoon or evening?
My former grade school has been converted into a shelter, and some alumni are trying to figure out where a time capsule was placed in the 80s/90s. I have no memory of it.
4) If you could put one piece of Steeler memorabilia from your lifetime into a time capsule, what would it be any why?
Bonus: What do you think is the best way to refer to Michael John McCarthy?
Some suggestions:
- Big Mike
- Mike 2.0
- MMcC
- Me (since e=mc^c)
