Indiana football wouldn’t be where it is without the play and leadership of linebacker Aiden Fisher.
Fisher followed head coach Curt Cignetti and defensive coordinator Bryant Haines from James Madison and has
played at a high level ever since as the Hoosiers’ leader on the defensive side of the ball. Indiana fans have him picked as a key player when the Hoosiers take on Oregon in the Peach Bowl on Friday, according to the results of a Reacts survey we ran this week:
Fisher has totaled 82 tackles (40 solo) with 3.5 sacks, a forced fumble and two interceptions this season with the Hoosiers, arguably the most statistically productive season of his career in spite of some missed time due to injury.
Asked about what makes Indiana’s defense so successful ahead of the game, Fisher had the following to say:
“We just played free,” Fisher said. “We let our D-line play free and our linebackers will fed off them and their safeties and fed off of us. It’s all about playing fast.”
