Bayern Munich has put their faith in Vincent Kompany and rewarded him with an additional two years for his contract with the club. It happened almost instantaneously, with the period from the first talks
to the contract signing taking place in a week:
The first meeting between Max Eberl, Christoph Freund and Vincent Kompany to discuss a new contract took place last Tuesday. Kompany immediately signaled his willingness to extend. Within a few days, the club and coach reached an agreement, and the contract was signed this morning. With the way he conducts himself, his connection to the team, the team’s style of football, his friendly and respectful approach towards the fans, Kompany has fully convinced the people in charge. Kompany’s assistants and key staff members will also receive new contracts soon.
