The Las Vegas Raiders depth at the pass-rusher position will look differently this season after a couple of recent moves.
Las Vegas traded 2023 first-round pick Tyree Wilson to the New Orleans Saints during the draft and then released Charles Snowden a week later. Wilson played 41.2 percent of the Raiders’ defensive snaps last season, while Snowden logged 32.1 percent of the snaps in 2025.
So, there is some room for production from new players behind Maxx Crosby, Kwity Paye and Malcolm Koonce.
The Raiders
will likely keep two edge rushers behind this veteran trio. Certainly, third-round pick Keyron Crawford will be in the mix. The Raiders took him early in the third round and he is considered a high-ceiling project. He may not be instantly ready to contribute, but he will get some opportunities.
The other three currently in the mix to make the roster are Brennan Jackson, Jahfari Harvey and Cian Slone. Jackson, who was claimed off waivers from the Rams in September, played seven games for the Raiders. Harvey, an undrafted free agent, appeared in two games. Slone is an interesting player. The undrafted free agent from North Carolina State, who he played next to seventh-round pick, nose tackle Brandon Cleveland, has a lot of fans in the league and could get a long look in training camp and in the preseason.
It will be interesting to see how this group develops. The Raiders clearly are confident in them or they would have held onto both Wilson and Snowden.
Do you think the Raiders’ upgraded their depth at this position?
