Lamine Yamal is currently sidelined through injury and will miss Barcelona’s next game against Newcastle in the Champions League.
According to Mundo Deportivo, he’s also expected to miss Barcelona’s league matches against Getafe and Real Ovideo in La Liga.
The current plan is for Yamal to make his comeback against Real Sociedad, but only as a substitute, to ensure he’s “100% fit” to face PSG in the Champions League on October 1st.
Barcelona certainly aren’t willing to take any risks with the teenager.
The report adds that the club is aware Yamal has a “difficult and treacherous injury” and there’s a serious risk of relapse if not treated correctly.
Although Yamal will be missed, there’s no doubt that Hansi Flick has plenty of attacking options he can utilise for the coming games.
Fermin Lopez, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski all hit braces against Valencia last time out, while Ferran Torres, Roony Bardghji and Dani Olmo are also options along with young Toni Fernandez.
