On Sunday afternoon, New Orleans Saints defeated the Carolina Panthers 17-7 to improve to 2-8 on the season. The score was a bit deceiving as this was the Saints most complete game of the season, giving fans a glimpse of hope toward the future as rookie QB Tyler Shough led the team to victory on the road. Shough went 19/27 for 282 yards and 2 touchdowns at Bank of America Stadium and you would have to go all the way back to 1971 to see a Saints rookie quarterback (Archie Manning) throw 2+ touchdown passes
with no interceptions. Now after 10 games, the Saints get a much-needed bye week to recover and rest up before their next matchup at home against the Atlanta Falcons in Caesars Superdome November 23rd.
But as always, we want to hear from you. After Sunday’s win over the Panthers, how are you feeling about the team? “Are you confident the Saints are headed in the right direction?” Vote in this week’s poll and let us know!
