Bayern Munich’s weekend of rest did not go as planned. The reserves put Bayern in 3-0 halftime hole at Mainz and Vincent Kompany decided to bring on Harry Kane, Michael Olise, and Jamal Musiala in the second half to forge a dramatic 4-3 comeback victory. Bayern’s players will only have two days of recovery, including a travel day, to take on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League semifinals. Bayern advanced through the quarterfinals by defeating Real Madrid with a 6-4 aggregate scoreline.
PSG
had better luck resting players, defeating Angers 3-0 on Saturday, extending their six-point lead atop Ligue 1 with four remaining matches. PSG eliminated Liverpool in the Champions League quarterfinal stage with a pair of 2-0 victories.

Prediction
Bayern draws 2-2. Both teams will play it conservative in the first half, resulting in an awkward scoreless draw at halftime. Michael Olise will break the ice with one of his patented left-footed curlers. PSG will answer back with a pair of incredible team goals. When things are looking very bleak, Jamal Musiala and Luis Díaz will team up for a highlight reel goal to even the match. Both teams will be exhausted and content for the last 10 minutes, taking a draw into the second leg next week.
