What is the story about?
Well,
it was apparently big trade day yesterday with several deals getting done. There will be more, of course, and maybe even one or two involving the Phillies. Who knows!
It was cool to watch Bryce Harper homer though.

Phillies news:
- The team is going to continue to look for bats today, but Bryan de la Cruz has at least gotten their attention ($).
- If the team is still interested in Luis Arraez, the asking price for him is going to be pretty high still. We’ll see how that goes.
- Even with Tarik Skubal going to the Dodgers, the Phillies as a team aren’t afraid of anyone in the other dugout.
MLB news:
- The Rays are going to try and fix Freddy Peralta after the Mets broke him. They gave up three prospects to try and solve the riddle.
- Chicago Cubs were out trying to patch some holes in their rotation and got a big one, acquiring Kevin Gausman from the Blue Jays.
- Continuing the theme of trading for starting pitchers, Tyler Mahle was sent to the Braves to help with their depth.
- The Yankees made a big deal, acquiring Luis Garcia from the Nationals in exchange for a quartet of prospects. They’re also looking at Heliot Ramos.
