Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy is one of several attackers being linked with Barcelona as a potential successor to veteran Robert Lewandowski.
It’s been widely reported that Dortmund have slapped a €100 million price tag on the 29-year-old, likely putting him out of Barcelona’s reach.
However, a new report from Bild suggests that if Barcelona are interested in Guirassy they may be able to recruit him for far less.
The word is that Guirassy has negotiated a lower release price in case clubs
such as Barcelona or Real Madrid come calling before his contract expires in 2028
Guirassy’s new price would therefore be around €65m, so much less, but still a fairly lofty fee for a player who will turn 30 in March of next year.
Signing a striker does appear to be a priority for Barcelona as Lewandowski heads towards the end of his stellar career. Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland and Etta Eyong are also being mentioned right now as possible targets.
