The Las Vegas Raiders will have a massive injury advantage Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams and only has one health question going into the game.
Rookie running back Mike Washington is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game with foot/back injuries. He missed Thursday and Friday’s practices after he was limited Wednesday. Raiders coach Klint Kubiak indicated Friday the team expects Washington to play against the Rams.
Washington, a fourth-round pick, played a season-high 23 snaps in Week 6 and
he had nine carries for 43 yards. If he can’t play, Dylan Laube will back up starting tailback Ashton Jeanty as the Raiders try to kickstart their lacking running game.
Raiders’ starting defensive tackle Tonka Hemingway will be back Sunday after he missed the Buffalo game with a concussion.
Meanwhile, Kubiak said wide receiver Dont’e Thornton will not be activated from the injured reserve for this game. If he is not activated by Wednesday, he will be out for the season.
Meanwhile, the Rams are battered. Star wide receiver Puka Nacua is questionable with a calf injury he hurt Thursday and he didn’t practice Friday. He will work out prior to Sunday’s game to see if he can play. Star Rams’ cornerback Trent McDuffie (groin) is also questionable. Linebacker Nate Landman (concussion) is out. The Rams are also missing several defensive linemen and wide receiver Davante Adams.
