Khamzat Chimaev just steamrolled a 44-year-old former UFC welterweight champion and RAF was like “Yeah, that was great, let’s do that again!” Now “Borz” will wrestle “Ruthless” Robbie Lawler at catchweight as part of the RAF 14 lineup on Oct. 23 at Fontainebleau in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Lawler, 44, has not competed since his retirement fight at UFC 290 back in June 2023. His wrestling credentials are limited to high school, where the Iowan achieved All-State honors at Bettendorf High. As for Chimaev,
32, he’s a three-time Swedish Freestyle National Champion.
He’s also got a considerable size advantage over Lawler, a common theme these days.
RAF 14 will also feature Arman Tsarukyan taking on Dillon Danis in the main event, along with appearances from Sarah Hildebrandt, Michael “Venom” Page, Jordan Burroughs, Vito Arujau, and Jordan Oliver, among others. The event will stream exclusively on FOX Nation.
Chimaev is also scheduled to headline the upcoming RAF card in Abu Dhabi.
