In our Rumor Roundup earlier this week, Geno shared a Self Made Pro rumor that Seth Rollins or Oba Femi are being considered as opponents for Roman Reigns at WWE’s first two-night SummerSlam in August and next year’s WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia. Rollins and Femi are also online sportsbooks’ current co-favorites to win the just-underway King of the Ring tournament, and the World title shot at this year’s Biggest Party of the Summer that comes with the crown.
Well, if we are getting closer to the
next chapter of the Rollins/Reigns rivalry, Seth threw a log on the fire during his recent visit to Prince St. Pizza’s Delivering Happiness with Big Nick Turturro. Not that beef based on a betrayal like Rollins’ of The Shield ever needs much reheating…
Needed or not, it came out when Rollins was telling the former NYPD Blue star about his experience watching Reigns and CM Punk close WrestleMania 42 a couple months ago:
“So you’ve got two of my worst enemies fighting each other for my title in my main event and I have to watch that. I have to swallow that. So it’s really difficult for me to feel any which way other than disgusted by the result… now Roman Reigns is walking around with my title talking about how he made the title relevant, which is uh, bullshit — I’ll say it. It’s complete bullshit. He knows it, I know it, everybody else knows it.
“He sounds like an idiot when he says it.”
Those are fighting words. But is Seth right, or is Roman?
That will surely be discussed, especially if Rollins/Reigns is the direction for Minneapolis on August 1 or 2. You can get started in the comments.
