Indiana football soundly beat Kennesaw State 56-9 on Saturday at Memorial Stadium in Bloomington to move to 2-0 in 2025.
The Hoosiers found success just about everywhere offensively, with Fernando Mendoza completing 72% of his passing attempts for 245 yards and four touchdowns while Indiana’s running backs found space on the ground for 313 yards and three scores of their own.
Wide receiver Elijah Sarratt had a great game after a relatively quiet outing against Old Dominion, pulling in nine catches
for 97 receiving yards and three of Mendoza’s four touchdowns through the air. In total, 10 Hoosiers ended up recording a reception against the Owls with Sarratt, EJ Williams Jr, and Charlie Becker all scoring, with Becker’s reception coming from second-string quarterback Alberto Mendoza in the fourth quarter.
Indiana wasn’t without its faults, letting up multiple explosive plays on defense. The Hoosier defense never broke though, keeping the Owls out of the endzone.
Indiana is set to kick off against Indiana State at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at home.
