What is the story about?
After being shaken up on a diving play in the fifth inning, Colorado Rockies shortstop Ezequiel Tovar left tonight’s game against the Washington Nationals in the sixth inning.
Prior to exiting, Tovar had a solo home run and a double in two at-bats.
The club confirmed that Tovar sustained a left wrist strain. Tovar was replaced by Ryan Ritter at short.
More to come about the severity of Tovar’s injury and his
timeline to return to the lineup.
