The Eagles have less than a week until the NFL trade deadline, and the expectations are that they’ll be making several moves between now and then. Landon Dickerson has been a name that’s been floating around as a potential trade candidate, and the latest report by Ryan Fowler reveals that the guard is drawing interest from teams.
The future of the Eagles offensive line is very much up in the air, and moving Landon Dickerson would show their commitment to developing a new, young group of guys up front.
The team already lost Land Johnson to retirement and Cam Jurgens in a trade with the Ravens, and Dickerson seemed acutely aware of the uncertainty of his future with the Eagles. Weeks ago, he directed questions about his standing with the team to Howie and Nick Sirianni.
As Howie Roseman continues to collect future draft capital over the next two years, being able to get something for Dickerson, whose injury history continues to pose a concern, would be a win. The LG could garner a Day 2 draft pick, or early Day 3, depending on the market. Howie could also put a package together to bring someone to Philadelphia in the deal — there’s depth needs throughout the roster.
