With the departure of Jai Lucas to Miami, Duke has had to make some staff moves. Evan Bradds was added over the summer and now Emanuel Dildy has been promoted to associate head coach.
He’s been a grinder, starting at Kennedy-King College. In his last two stops before Duke, he was at Northwestern with Chris Collins and then at Oklahoma with Porter Moser.
Here’s what Jon Scheyer had to say about promoting Dildy:
“I’ve had the privilege of working alongside Emanuel the past two seasons, and his impact
on our program has been tremendous,” Scheyer said in a school issued statement. “He’s an elite recruiter, a detailed teacher of the game and someone whose tireless work ethic sets the tone for our staff and players. Emanuel’s leadership, energy and passion embody what Duke Basketball is all about, and I’m excited to elevate him into this well-deserved role as associate head coach.”
