Hannah Blundell has spoken of Everton’s ‘amazing history’ and has admitted that she can’t wait to be a part of it.
Following the conclusion of Katie Robinson’s loan spell on Merseyside Everton Women have been quick to secure reinforcements in the shape of the the 31-year old, who has herself joined on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season.
The former Chelsea right-back becomes the Blues’ first January signing and represents shrewd business given that the Toffees have used a few players
in the right-sided defensive role, with varying degrees of success.
And Blundell, who has three caps for England, told evertontv of her desire to be part of the club’s history, as well as playing in front of the Goodison faithful.
“I am really excited! I can’t wait to get going and meet all the girls and our fans,” she said.
“The stadium is fantastic. Every time I have played against Everton, you can always hear the fans. They are always brilliant and I cannot wait to have them on my side and hopefully give them some excitement.

“Everton have got an amazing history – that is something I cannot wait to be a part of. I know some of the players which makes it a lot easier coming in. I am sure I am going to get along with all the girls – they seem like a great group and are fantastic players.
“The way the club is going is something I am looking forward to being a part of.
“Playing at Goodison Park is fantastic.”
A career filled with honours, Blundell represented Chelsea for eight years after graduating from their academy, going on to win the WSL four times while lifting the FA Cup on two occasions.
A move to Manchester United followed in 2021, where the full-back again tasted FA Cup glory in the 2023/24 season.
