When Bayern Munich beat Atalanta 4-1 on the night and 10-2 on aggregate, a few new faces were seen on the bench and on the pitch. Deniz Ofli and Filip Pavić were both handed their debuts by head coach Vincent Kompany, the latter earning the distinction of Bayern’s youngest player ever to feature in a match, and it looks like they’re going to be joined by more:
Translation: FC Bayern has since registered not only Filip Pavić but also Leonard Ruland and Erblin Osmani via the B list for the Champions League.
Leonard Ruland is a goalkeeper who almost shares a birthday with Bayern phenom Lennart Karl (Ruland is one day younger). The 18-year-old stands at 185cm / 6’1” and currently plays for Bayern’s U-19 side.
Erblin Osmani meanwhile is set to turn 17 and plays as a center midfielder or a center defensive midfielder. In 14 matches played this season, Osmani has notched 3 goals and as many assists for both Bayern’s U-17 and U-19 teams.
