It is safe to say that through all of their years in working together Uli Hoeneß and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge did not always see eye-to-eye.
However, even with some tense and heated moments, the dynamic duo,
who currently represent the loudest voices on the supervisory board, never let the business disagreement get in the way of their friendship.
“Well, we sometimes clashed during meetings and discussions, and things got pretty heated. But — and this is the crucial difference compared to today — people are easily offended these days and don’t speak to each other for weeks. That never happened with us. We were often very harsh on each other, but that never changed our personal friendship,” told Sport1 journalist Stefan Kumberger (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
In business, disagreements will happen, but it is astounding how long these two have been able to work together without experiencing a falling out. In today’s world of soft mentalities, easily hurt feelings, and struggles for power, their relationship is unique.
