Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott revealed that the team won’t have defensive end A.J. Epenesa or linebacker Shaq Thompson available on Sunday. Both defenders have been ruled out for the Week 10
divisional showdown against the Miami Dolphins.
Epenesa has been in the NFL’s concussion protocol this week, and it appears he’s still dealing with the after affects late in the week. Thompson appeared on Buffalo’s injury report due to a hamstring issue. He started the week of practice as a limited participant before quickly earning the “DNP” designation in recent days.
Cornerback Christian Benford (groin injury) was reportedly a limited participant during Friday’s practice session, which has him with a “questionable” designation for Sunday’s game in South Beach. Also listed as “questionable” for Sunday are , nickel cornerback Taron Johnson (groin injury), defensive tackle DaQuan Jones (calf injury), and wide receiver Joshua Palmer (ankle, knee injuries).
Johnson picked up the injury ahead of Week 9 versus the Kansas City Chiefs, while Jones and Palmer have both been sidelined with their respective injuries since Week 6.
