Former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, a first-ballot selection to the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s Class of 2026, will be inducted into the franchise’s Ring of Honor and receive his Pro Football Hall of Fame Ring of Excellence during an on-field ceremony at halftime on Sunday, October 11, 2026, when the Saints host the Minnesota Vikings.

extends throughout the National Football League,” said Saints Owner & CEO Gayle Benson. “We are thrilled to welcome Drew into this distinguished group in October. His extraordinary accomplishments on the field, his leadership, and his lasting contributions to the New Orleans community make this honor so well deserved. We look forward to celebrating Drew with our fans and honoring the extraordinary legacy he built with the Saints and throughout the New Orleans community.”
Drew Brees signed with the New Orleans Saints in 2006 and spent 15 seasons in New Orleans before retiring in 2021. During his time with the Saints, he led the team to its first Super Bowl victory in the 2009 season, defeating the Indianapolis Colts 31–17 and earning Super Bowl MVP honors. Brees also helped the Saints win seven NFC South division titles and reach three NFC Championship Games. He was a two-time NFL Offensive Player of the Year, earned five All-Pro selections, and made 13 Pro Bowls. He set an NFL record with five 5,000-yard passing seasons, and in 2011, he threw for a then-record 5,476 yards in a single season. Brees finished his Saints career with 68,010 passing yards and 491 touchdown passes, making him the franchise’s all-time leader in major passing categories. He was inducted into the New Orleans Saints Hall of Fame in 2024, and in 2026, he was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility, becoming the first Saints player ever selected as a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

Brees will become the 9th person from the Saints organization to be inducted into the Ring of Honor, joining Owner Tom Benson (2018), K Morten Andersen (2016), G Jahri Evans (2024), LB Rickey Jackson (2013), QB Archie Manning (2013), LB Sam Mills (2021), T William Roaf (2013) and DE Will Smith (2019).
