Good morning.
Optional Musical Accompaniment
The brackets are out, and Vanderbilt’s men’s and women’s basketball teams are both playing. The men’s team lost 86-75 to Arkansas in the finals of the SEC Tournament, and then probably got underseeded as a 5-seed and got sent to Oklahoma City, where they’ll play 12-seed McNeese on Thursday at 2:15 PM.
The women’s team, on the other hand, landed a 2-seed and will play High Point on Saturday at Memorial Gym. The 2-seed is the highest the Commodores have been slotted in the bracket since
2007.
Baseball didn’t finish off a sweep, losing 16-9 to LSU on Sunday. Vanderbilt fell behind 6-0 in the early innings, fought back to tie it at 6, and then gave up five runs in the seventh inning.
Women’s tennis beat Alabama 4-3 on Sunday and improved to 5-2 in the SEC.
We get a day off from basketball before the Madness starts tomorrow. Rest up, everyone.
