Tina Charles had 21 points while Aaliyah Edwards had 10 points to lead the Connecticut Sun to a 67-56 win over the Washington Mystics at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, CT on Thursday evening.
Former UConn star Olivia Nelson-Ododa added eight points, four rebounds, two assists and two steals for the Sun off the bench. The Mystics lone Husky, Stefanie Dolson, had seven points.
The Mystics were led in scoring by rookies Sonia Citron and Kiki Iriafen who had 15 points and 13 points respectively.
