What To Watch For
- Back To Full(er) Health? – Ivan Jurić, Tibor Mirtič, and Saša Ciani were all out of commission against Minnesota, due to either illness or injury. Jurić of course, being the most critical of absences, as he is a typical starter. Hopefully, at least one of these guys will be available for action, because the last thing you want to bring into Michigan as a heavy underdog is a short-handed team.
- That Mingo Ate My Baby! – Kayden Mingo was recovering from his broken nose during the first meeting with Michigan, so this will be first crack at the Wolverines. After scoring the game-winning basket against Minnesota, hopefully we see a more fearless, confident Kayden who is unafraid to put the team on his back when necessary.
- It’s Raining Threes? – It’s the classic underdog upset recipe: The three-pointers are falling for the underdogs while the favorites have an off-night shooting the rock. If PSU is going to put themselves within striking distance of an upset once again, they will need the likes of Freddie Dilione, Dominick Stewart, and Eli Rice to rip the nets from downtown.
Prediction
Michigan got caught playing with their food last time they faced the Nittany Lions and it nearly cost them a win. I don’t see them making the same mistake twice, and I anticipate they will get out to a stronger start and never look back. That being said, 25.5 is a lot
of points, even against this Penn State squad, so give me PSU to cover.
Michigan 86, Penn State 68
