Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle B.J. Hill has passed a physical and is cleared to practice, the team announced on Saturday.
Hill had been placed on the PUP list on July 25 but was widely expected to be cleared soon enough, as he ended up missing just about three weeks of training camp and one preseason game.
The 31-year-old Hill is once again set to play a major role on the interior of the Bengals’ revamped defensive line, which now has All-Pro Dexter Lawrence II manning the nose tackle spot, which should
free up Hill to make more plays than he did a year ago. Hill finished the 2025 season with a 68.6 Pro Football Focus grade, the second-lowest of his eight-year career.
Hill will be competing with newly signed veteran Jonathan Allen for snaps as the second defensive tackle next to Lawrence. This hopes to be the best DT rotation the Bengals have had since Hill first joined the Bengals in 2021.
