The Seattle Seahawks have rediscovered their primetime magic in home games over the past couple of seasons, and what a way to snap a losing skid! They throttled the Kansas City Chiefs in a barely competitive 20-3 win, putting themselves back in the NFC West chase and sending a message to the NFL that, as long as they don’t sabotage themselves with turnovers, they’re extraordinarily hard to beat. Hell, they’re hard to beat even when they do commit a bunch of turnovers!
This was a doubly sweet weekend
for Seahawks fans, with the San Francisco 49ers suffering an upset loss to the Atlanta Falcons. You know what that means! Enemy Reaction is back for the first time since Week 2—we skipped over the Los Angeles Chargers—and there is a healthy bonus meltdown coming from 49ers fans.

Post-game: The Chiefs 5-0 start looks suspect (Vahe Gregorian, KC Star)
Early on, anyway, the 2026 Chiefs sure were trending toward redemption and resumption of their modern identity as a perennial championship contender.
In the wake of the distressing 6-11 dud last season, they entered Sunday night’s game against reigning Super Bowl champion Seattle at Lumen Field as one of just two remaining undefeated NFL teams. Moreover, they led the league in offensive yards per game, were second in points allowed and generally seemed to be restoring the new world order of the Mahomes Era.
But their 20-3 loss to the Seahawks (4-3) was so thorough, unsightly and disillusioning as to render the 5-0 run-up to it entirely suspect — especially considering the Chiefs’ thorny schedule ahead. Yes, Seattle is a fine team and the ol’ one-game overreaction is a real phenomenon when it comes to NFL games. No doubt the Chiefs are capable of resetting. Trouble is, this loss seemed to expose every worrisome vulnerability they had flashed in beating teams with a combined record of 11-22.
And it also came with the deflating issue of the stifling of something we were starting to take for granted: the exhilarating play of former Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III, who had been a revelation until he mustered just 36 yards on 14 carries Sunday.
An inconsistent offensive line couldn’t make room for Walker.

BONUS Enemy Reaction: San Francisco 49ers
Enemy Preaction: Chicago Bears
Alright, so the Seahawks aren’t condemned to an early offseason just yet. They’ve gone through a rough patch and still come out the other side of it with a winning record. Up next are the Chicago Bears, who are 5-2 with a more potent offense (on paper) than the Chiefs. Mike Macdonald vs. Ben Johnson. ‘The Dark Side’ versus Caleb Williams, D’Andre Swift, Luther Burden, Colston Loveland, and local legend Rome Odunze. Dennis Allen’s defense against a Seahawks offense that showed signs of life. What a way to wrap up three straight nationally televised games, and what a way to kick off November with one more primetime showdown at Lumen Field! If the Seahawks prevail, then they’ll have withstood the toughest part of their schedule and still reached 5-3. All things considered, that would be pretty encouraging.
Thanks for reading and go ‘Hawks!
