The WCG crew is kicking off a five-part Chicago Bears 2026 schedule roundtable today, and after checking out our answers, give us yours in the comment section.
What is the best game on the Bears’ schedule?
Sam Householder: All the late December games are hopefully going to matter a lot…or a little if the Bears wrap things up early and the division is a stinker. I doubt the division will be bad. For this, give me week 5 at Green Bay. We know the team up north has been stewing since January, and we’ve
been talking all the trash. The first four weeks, teams are usually still finding their footing. Week 5 is the perfect spot to start seeing who is really going to be good. This rivalry hitting at that moment in the season is going to be cool.
Jeff Berckes: Best game for me is probably the Jets game on October 4th. Noon kickoff, should be heavily favored, early October on the lakefront in Chicago? Can you ask for anything better than that in this life?
Josh Sunderbruch: Monday Night Football against the defending Super Bowl Champs. I like night games, anyway, and that will be a real test of the team.
Bryan Orenchuk: Best game on the schedule to me is the Buffalo game on December 19th in Primetime on Saturday night. Two contenders in what should have playoff seeding implications for both Super Bowl hopefuls. Could even be a Super Bowl preview!
TJ Starman: I think history has shown that either of the Green Bay games are a safe selection for the “best,” but setting those aside, the matchup with Seattle on Monday Night Football is a great one on paper. This should be an excellent measuring stick game featuring Ben Johnson’s offense, and Mike MacDonald’s defense, and the Bears will get a little extra rest before facing the reigning champs as they play on Thursday the week before.
Gary Baugher Jr.: Really looking forward to the Patriots on MNF. Both QBs met in 2024 while playing for bad systems, and we didn’t get to see much from them. This should be a whole different story.
Sarah DeNicolo: Personally, I’m most excited for the Bills-Bears game. The Bills are a good team, it’ll be a cold, wintry game, and the DJ Moore vs. his former team storyline is an interesting one.
Lester A. Wiltfong Jr.: If the Bears win Week 3 against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday Night Football, that’s going to put the league on notice that this is, in fact, once again, not the same old Bears.
Now it’s your turn. What’s the best game on the schedule this season?
