Week 10 was a wake up call after losses by Boise State, UNLV, and Hawaii gave renewed hope to teams like Fresno State, Utah State, and New Mexico. This week features teams at the bottom of the standings that will look to play spoiler, but the final game of the day is the evening headliner. San Diego State looks to remain undefeated in league play against a pesky Hawaii squad. Before we dive into each game, let’s take a look at the current Mountain West standings.

Air Force @ San Jose State (Saturday 4:00 MT)

These are two teams that have failed to meet expectations, but one still has hope. The Spartans’ win over Hawaii kept their slim bowl and conference championship hopes alive. A loss to Air Foce would eliminate them from conference championship contention and destroy their bowl dreams. The Falcons are basically playing for pride at this point.
Who you should root for: Any of the teams still in contention should be hoping that the Falcons pull off the upset and halt any momentum the Spartans may have.
Nevada @ Utah State (Saturday 5:30 MT)
TV: CBS Sports Network
The season is basically over for Nevada and Jeff Choate may be coaching to save his job. If the Wolf Pack can show signs of life, it might give them reason to keep Choate and his staff around for one more season. The Aggies are big favorites in this one and if they win out, they have an excellent chance at playing for the Mountain West Championship.
Who you should root for: Similar to the game above, a loss ends any hope for the Aggies. Any contender should be pulling for the Wolf Pack.
UNLV @ Colorado State (Saturday 7:30 MT)
TV: Fox Sports 1
Like the games above, this match-up features a team that is dead in the water against a team that is clinging to championship hopes. UNLV desperately needs a win after losing two consecutive games to Boise State and New Mexico. A loss here and the fans in Las Vegas might riot.
Who you should root for: Another game where a loss would kill the contender. If you aren’t a fan of the Rebels, you should be pulling for the Rams.
San Diego State @ Hawaii (Saturday 9:00 MT)
TV: Spectrum Sports
The game of the week features an undefeated San Diego State squad that can make a statement against a Hawaii team that is clinging to championship hopes and is really hard to beat at home. The Aztecs are the favorites, but this one could be interesting.
Who you should root for: This one is complicated. The two-loss teams should probably be pulling for the Aztecs to eliminate Hawaii and beat Boise State next week. If you are a Bronco fan, I would probably pull for Hawaii.
