What is the story about?

Here’s a bullet-point rundown of USA player performances this weekend (Friday through Sunday). Players are divided by position groups (which helps my depth-chart-oriented brain process this information most usefully). Stats are from FotMob.

Striker

Justin Ellis (19) made his USA debut against Peru on Saturday, played 62 minutes, and scored his first USA goal to open the scoring in the 4-1 friendly win.

Winger/attacking mid

Malik Tillman (24) played 77 minutes, scored a penalty, created the most chances (3), had the most touches (8) in the opposition box, and missed 1 big chance in the USA-Peru game. Tillman was rated Man of the Match by FotMob.

Cavan Sullivan (16) made his USA debut in the Peru game, played 62 minutes and created 2 chances.
