Contender Series is back with 10 straight weeks of mixed martial arts (MMA) action, beginning at 8 p.m. ET TONIGHT (Tues., Sept. 9, 2025) on ESPN+.
For what it’s worth, four winners earned UFC contracts last week (results here).
In tonight’s main event, Heavyweights collide as CFFC champion Anthony Guarascio (3-0) takes on Steven Asplund (5-1). In the co-main event, Cam Teague (9-1) returns for a second shot at a UFC contract as he fights LFA Featherweight champion Lerryan
Douglas (12-5). In the “Featured” bout, Light Heavyweights throw down as Felipe Franco (8-0) takes on Freddy Vidal (3-0). Chasen Blair (7-3) also returns for a second shot against Brazil’s Samuel Sanches (10-1). Finally, the two best female prospects of the season collide as former PFL fighter Shanelle Dyer (6-0) fights Carol Foro (8-1)
