Is there a chance that Nikki Bella will actually win the WWE women’s championship? Let’s see what today’s rumors have to say about it!
Top rumor of the day: WWE is impressed by Nikki Bella
Nikki Bella’s surprise loss against Paige on last week’s episode of SmackDown might not be a sign that her WWE push is going away.
A source told WrestleVotes Radio that Bella is “drawing praise” backstage at WWE for her very impressive social media numbers every week. Nikki has “exceeded internal expectations” for her engagement there, as well as her strong merchandise
sales. As a result, Votes’ source wouldn’t be surprised if WWE puts a “bigger spotlight” on the Hall of Famer going forward.
It looks like Bella is lined up for a title match against WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green next week, so if she wins the gold, this is probably the reason why.
The rest of the rumors!
- It sounds like WWE still hasn’t decided between Dec. 12 (after Wrestlepalooza) or Dec. 19 (vs. AEW Worlds End and AAA Guerra De Titanes) for the date of the John Cena Classic. WrestleVotes heard that Dec. 5 is likely out of the running, because WWE doesn’t want to run major events on three consecutive weekends. Dec. 26 also doesn’t look good because that is WWE’s annual holiday house show at Madison Square Garden.
- Votes mentioned that WWE’s plan for War Games between The Bloodline and 946 is for each team to have five wrestlers.
- F4WOnline’s Bryan Alvarez claims that “NXT was told to load it up” for the head-to-head battle against AEW’s Blood & Guts episode of Dynamite on November 4.
- For whatever it’s worth, when it comes to WWE’s upcoming Crown Jewel event in Riyadh, Alvarez said, “I don’t think they’re going to Saudi Arabia.”
- Wrestling Observer Radio’s Dave Meltzer confirmed that Dragon Lee’s new WWE contract is a five year deal. Meltzer adds that AEW will make an offer to re-sign his brother, Dralistico. People close to Dralistico indicated that his cryptic tweet depicting himself in shackles was about visa issues, and not a sign that he wants out of AEW. Meanwhile, their other brother RUSH is said to be happy in AEW and “not leaving.”
- PWInsider mentioned that WWE has signed Elly Finch to a developmental deal. The 23-year-old Finch is a former track and field athlete from Michigan State University who attended WWE tryouts this year.
