Happy NFL Sunday, Seattle Seahawks fans!
There’s really nothing of consequence on the Sunday slate for the Seahawks as it relates to the NFC’s top seed chase. The San Francisco 49ers don’t play until Monday
night, the Chicago Bears and Green Bay Packers did sort out the NFC North lead and therefore stay alive for the No. 1 seed, while the Philadelphia Eagles sort of stayed alive in the 1-seed race but need a hell of a collapse from the Seahawks, Rams, and 49ers to get there.
So consider today a rest and relaxation day. A game that should be worth watching is the Carolina Panthers against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as the Panthers are Seattle’s next opponent and the outcome of CAR-TB determines whether or not the Panthers are playing for the NFC South title or to stave off elimination from the playoffs.
Oh yeah, Pete Carroll, the returning Geno Smith, and the Las Vegas Raiders have the Houston Texans at 1:25 pm PT. Good luck with that, fellas.
Check out 506 Sports for the coverage maps. Where I live in the Portland area, we’re getting the Buffalo Bills vs. Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Detroit Lions on CBS, while the lone FOX game is the Los Angeles Chargers and Dallas Cowboys. I think NFL RedZone, commercial annoyances and all, will be my best friend until it’s Sunday Night Football.
