Another Saturday, another brutal loss for the Kentucky Wildcats.
Kentucky gave it everything they had, outgunning the Longhorns by over 200 yards, and somehow it wasn’t enough.
Cutter Boley looked solid
throughout the game. He had some mistakes, but bounced back well from them and had Kentucky in a position to win. If you’re looking for a reason for optimism moving forward, you can look at Cutter.
The Cats are now 2-4 overall and 0-4 in the conference, joining Arkansas, Auburn, and Mississippi State as SEC teams without a win in conference play.
Now, the Cats prepare to host Tennessee next week, with the Vols coming off a 37-20 loss at Alabama.
And on the basketball side, we wait to hear some more information on the status of point guard Jaland Lowe following his shoulder injury Friday night during the Blue-White game.
After some initial concern, the belief now seems to be that Lowe won’t miss more than a couple weeks. One would have to imagine the coaching staff will be very cautious and give Lowe time to fully recover. We’re a little over two weeks away from the first regular season game, so let’s see how he is then.
Let’s just be thankful this injury (seemingly) isn’t as bad as it could’ve been.
