1. JOÃO PEDRO (8.5)
João Pedro has been an instant hit ever since coming off the beach in July to join Chelsea at the Club World Cup. With a goal and two assists in this one, he now has four goals and those two assists in his six club appearances, averaging a goal contribution every 55 or so minutes.
Will he keep up this pace? Probably not. It would be historic if he did. But if he can keep contributing consistently, he will have solved a major problem that’s been haunting this team for seemingly forever.
Oh, and it helps
that he can be effective in multiple attacking positions, as we’ve already seen.
2. PEDRO NETO (8.2)
Neto finished last season in good form, was one of the our best players throughout the Club World Cup, and has started the new season right where he left off, making an impact on and off the ball. His workrate is unmatched, his speed is electric, and he certainly has the ability to deliver the necessary final ball.
3. MOISÉS CAICEDO (8.0)
When in doubt, vote Moisés. True for the first 100 appearances of his Chelsea career; hopefully true for the next 100 … and beyond.
