What is the story about?
I was born with plastic Dots in my mouth
The north side of my town faced east
And the east was facing south
- The Big 10 has released its 2026 football schedule. Well, as much of it as we ever know months in advance. Specific start times and games shifted to Friday are always variable into the late summer or fall. Other than those unknowns, Jon Wilner writes that the schedule is overall quite reasonable. The initial analysis doesn’t show any particularly egregious cross-country disadvantages or rest disadvantages (as the Huskies faced last year). For UW specifically, the Seattle Times breaks down the slate, including a home game with the defending National Champs for a third consecutive year.
- Christian Caple has a deeper dive on the schedule for On Montlake. He points out that UW will not leave Seattle until week five, which is great for the weather at the in-stadium experience. Also, for all the additional travel in the Big 10, the Dawgs don’t leave the Pacific Time Zone until week seven against Purdue. Their only long-distance trips will be to West Lafayette, Lincoln, and East Lansing. Maybe they can make it to the Orange Bowl to help preserve their frequent flier status at the end of the year.
- Plenty of fans thought it would be plausible for UW to bring in a transfer QB to provide depth an experience behind Demond Williams. Not as many would have predicted Elijah Brown, the former Stanford QB who decided to head to Seattle earlier this week. Dawgman checked in with Brown, who talks though his decision to join UW.
- Husky Women’s Basketball is on a roll with four straight wins, including two on the road in conference. The hot streak has put UW back into the rankings at #25. Last time out, UW bludgeoned Rutgers for an easy win. The Huskies face a tough challenge today with a road game against #16 Maryland. Go Huskies has a preview of the game.
- Before we get to Tweets, a quick programing note: we are now officially entering our Spring/Summer UWDP schedule. Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday Dots will stay the same. Starting next week, UWDadVanc will deliver your Wednesday Dots, and I will shift to slinging Dots on Mondays. See you all then.
