A former Heisman trophy winner, Manziel was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the first round of the 2014 NFL draft, but was unable to translate his college success to professional football. After washing out of the NFL in just a couple of years, Manziel bounced around other football leagues, eventually landing in the Fan Controlled Football league on the FCF
Zappers. That’s where Manziel first encountered Menery who was a part owner of the team.
Menery is a podcaster, comedian, and social media influencer, and reportedly he and Manziel had issues during their time together at the Zappers, leading to this influencer matchup on Saturday. That is, if it even happens. UFC CEO Dana White has been publicly skeptical that Menery will even make the walk come fight night.
