All eyes on the Los Angeles Rams, but the defending Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks should not be overlooked. They had a tremendous defense last year, and like many teams who win a Super Bowl, they lost some players. But they also gained some players, and they retained some absolute studs.
This Seahawks team will likely be competitive once again, though if they slide that would be good for the Rams to be sure. However, with the talent they have, Seattle is likely to be a tough out again.
I persoonally
expect teams other than the Seahawks and Rams to be competing in a major way in 2026, but for right now, I get the sense a lot of eyes are on the Rams and Seattle to win it all. Not sure that ends up being true, but honestly, there are likely worst takes. Seattle and the Rams appear poised to compete in a big way.
The Rams have some studs. Seattle has some studs and perhaps are more confident than any other team in the league. We’ll see.
Thank you for checking out Turf Show Times and happy Saturday!
Seahawks Leonard Williams & Devon Witherspoon Ranked Highly By Coaches, Executives & Scouts (seahawks.com)
“Leonard Williams, a dominant force on the Seahawks’ defensive line since arriving in a 2023 trade, was ranked as the league’s No. 1 defensive tackle in ESPN’s annual position rankings, which are determined by a vote of NFL coaches, executives and scouts. Devon Witherspoon, meanwhile, ranked fourth among cornerbacks.
“(Williams) was the most important player on that Super Bowl team,” an NFL coordinator told ESPN. “He’s the total package.”
Look: Aaron Donald spotted training at Rams facility, fueling comeback rumors (ramswire)
“That’s because he moved his training session to the Los Angeles Rams’ facility in Woodland Hills. According to TMZ, Donald was spotted working out on the practice field at the Rams’ headquarters, spending about an hour going through drills “until he was clearly gassed.”
An eyewitness tells us the 35-year-old spent about an hour on the field doing ladder drills, medicine ball throws, and agility work, pushing himself to the limit until he was clearly gassed.“
Rams breakout star from 2025 could see a lot regression in 2026 (ramswire)
“The Los Angeles Rams enjoyed a highly productive offensive campaign last year, and one of the biggest surprises was the emergence of tight end Colby Parkinson. Stepping into a massive role in Sean McVay’s heavy 13-personnel packages, Parkinson enjoyed a true breakout season with 43 receptions, 408 yards and a franchise-record eight touchdowns.
However, Bleacher Report analyst Moe Moton warns that expecting a replication of those career-high numbers in 2026 is a mistake. He predicts that the veteran pass-catcher is primed to be the Rams’ biggest bust for the upcoming 2026 NFL season.“
